With breakout sessions following opening talk for

  • Adults (Masculinity and Femininity with Fr. Loya)
  • Teen boys (Meaning of Masculinity with Patrick Reidy)
  • Teen girls (Meaning of Femininity with Catherine Baranko)

Monday Night:
Theology of the Body: The Answer to All of Life’s Questions

Adults and teens - with Fr. Thomas Loya

Fr. Loya will address many of the “hot button" issues of the current times.

Tuesday Night:
Theology of the Body and Art: The Naked Truth

Adults and high school students with parental permission - with Fr. Loya

Fr. Thomas LoyaFr. Thomas J. Loya is currently the pastor of Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in Chicago, IL and the Eastern Catholic spiritual advisor for TOBIA. Before entering the seminary he earned a degree and pursued a career in commercial art and design, after which he worked for a Church design firm. He completed his studies for the priesthood in Pennsylvania and Rome and was ordained in 1982. In 1993 he added to his Bachelor of Fine Arts by earning a Masters in Counseling and Human Services. He has worked on the iconography both of his present parish and of St. John's parish in Solon, Ohio.

In addition to his duties as a pastor and iconographer, Fr. Loya has served the Church in youth and young adult ministry and as an artist and design consultant. He has directed many retreats and has been a guest speaker at conventions and at World Youth Day 2002. www.byzantinecatholic.com Fr. Loya uses his background in art to help the parish see with “purity of heart”.

This mission focuses on the mandate of every Dominican.  St. Dominic was convinced that the focus of every follower of the gospel is to always and everywhere speak and live what Jesus taught.  The only way that we can do this is to parise, to bless, and to preach. 

Again, this mission is spread over teh course of three ngihts and continues with incorporating mvoement or action responses to foster participation of the people for whom the mission is offered.
