The Sacred Heart Basilica is located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. The basilica serves as both a place of worship for those on campus, but also serves as a local parish for worshipers in St. Joseph County, Indiana. This particular photo is extremely unique in that it captures not only the basilica but also the “Golden Dome” atop the administration building located just east of the basilica. This portion of the university is fondly referred to by students as the “God Quad.”
